Kids Matter International is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located in Grapevine, Texas. They are dedicated to helping children in need through programs that empower them and enhance their lives. Kids Matter International is a 7-year Platinum-rated charity through Candid. They believe children are the brightest stars and must have the attention, respect, and care that they deserve.
Around the Block (ATB) Clothing Program
Kids Matter’s largest program is the Around The Block (ATB) Clothing Program. ATB is where the leadership team, volunteers, and donors can all interact together with the children they serve. ATB is a collaboration among Kids Matter, KOHL’s Department Store, Twisted X Global Brands, and the McCarty Family Trust.
Impact of the Around the Block Program
Since 2006, they have served over 19,975 children in the DFW and Austin areas with their Around The Block program. They have also distributed:
- over 172,000 books
- 30,850 backpacks
- 17,350 school shoes
Kids Matter has conducted three events per year, averaging 2,000 kids. Their flagship event is held at KOHL’s, Southlake, TX . The second location in the DFW area is at the KOHL’s in Arlington, TX. Since 2016, a third event is held at KOHL’s in Sunset Valley in Austin, TX, thanks to the support provided by the McCarty Family Trust.
Kids Matter aims to grow their Around The Block program and event to a national level with more events held annually.
Charities2Love joins Kids Matter for ATB
