ABOUT

AUSTIN STREET CENTER PROVIDES SAFE SHELTER AND MEETS THE BASIC NEEDS OF THE MOST VULNERABLE HOMELESS IN DALLAS, TX, WITH ONE MAIN GOAL: helping clients transition from homelessness to independence.

WHAT THEY DO

Provide safe shelter and 3 meals a day to 440 clients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

Official Inclement Weather Shelter for the city of Dallas (extreme heat/cold) to an additional 500 clients for emergency respite

HOW THEY DO IT

With help from community partners in the area, local religious and civic organizations and volunteers.

Other services: employment, mental and medical health care, substance use treatment, permanent housing
