President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA)

We are now a PVSA Certifying Organization!!

As a PVSA certifying organization, we can present this prestigious award to any US Citizen or lawful resident who is at least 5 years old, obtains the number of volunteer hours that are required for their age in a 12 month timeframe, and can be verified by Charities2Love.



Ready to get started? Here are 5 easy steps:

Step One: Sign up for our PVSA membership form for minors* or adults.*

This allows us to start your 12 month calendar year to track your hours, and gives you access to our PVSA WhatsApp volunteer group.

Step Two: Determine the number of hours you need for your age to get the award you want.

Charities2Love allows you to begin your 12-month award period any month of the year in order to provide maximum flexibility for you to earn this award.

Step Three: Volunteer in your community and track your hours.

Charities2Love will accept your volunteer hours no matter where you volunteered as long as all of the volunteer eligibility requirements for the Presidential Volunteer Service Award have been met and your hours can be verified.

Step Four: Keep volunteering and sending us your hours so we can track and verify them.

  • You can volunteer in-person or virtually! Just be sure to follow the guidelines listed on our tracking form so we can verify your hours.
  • You can volunteer at different nonprofits or stick to one that you love.

Step Five: Earn the Presidential Volunteer Service Award!!

Once we have verified your hours, Charities2Love will submit your paperwork for your award and present it to you! What a huge accomplishment, and we are grateful to be a part of helping you earn it.

You can put this prestigious nationally recognized service award on your applications for college, scholarships, graduate school, medical school, jobs, and promotions, as well as your resume and LinkedIn profile.




FAQ’s about the PVSA Program:

Volunteer Eligibility

  • United States citizen or lawful permanent resident of the United States (i.e., green card holder)
  • Must be at least five years old
  • Completes eligible service within a 12-month period (for annual Bronze, Silver, and Gold Awards) and over a lifetime (for Lifetime Achievement Awards): *Charities2Love allows you to begin your 12-month award period any month of the year in order to provide maximum flexibility for you to earn this award*

Eligible Service:

  • Unpaid acts of volunteer service benefitting others
    • Service through National service programs that provide a stipend (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) may count towards the Lifetime Achievement Award, but not for the annual Bronze, Silver, and Gold Awards)
    • Travel stipends, transit/parking passes, membership passes, expense reimbursements, and other nominal volunteer support do not impact service eligibility

Eligible Service does not include:

  • Donating funds
  • Political lobbying (Non-partisan voter registration is an eligible activity)
  • Religious instruction
  • Conducting worship service
  • Proselytizing
  • Volunteer service performed as part of court-ordered community service
  • Serving only family members
