A NONPROFIT THAT BUILDS FREE WHEELCHAIR RAMPS TO ENSURE THAT NO TEXAS RESIDENT LACKS SAFE ACCESS TO THEIR HOME BECAUSE OF FINANCIAL LIMITATIONS

WHAT THEY DO

Build free wheelchair ramps in homes of low-income older adults and people with disabilities, identified by local health care providers.

The ramps follow ADA guidelines and are safe, strong, and durable.

HOW THEY DO IT

Ramps are built exclusively with volunteer labor in approximately 4 hours

Lumber & tools are provided by grants, donations, foundations, and contracts.

In Texas: over 40 regions in 22 counties

Minimum age to volunteer: 16 years old, with parent attending

VOLUNTEER

Volunteer for 4 hours on a Saturday morning with a group to build a ramp near you, no experience necessary!

A team leader oversees the whole construction crew, and all supplies are provided. Part of the ramp is pre-built to save time on the job site.
