Let’s make Winter Care Packages and Snack Bags for the Unhoused

CHARITY: Distributed to many local nonprofits that serve those experiencing homelessness.

WHY: Provide warmth and kindness to those experiencing homelessness. 

WHO: All ages. Children are welcome with a parent/guardian; high school students may attend alone.

WHEN: 10:30am – 12:30pm

SERVICE HOURS: 2 service hours, plus an extra hour if you come 30 minutes before & after for set up/clean up.

 In this volunteering you will:

• Make a care package that includes:  a pair of gloves, beanie, socks, a blanket, hand warmers, toiletries, a note, and hand sanitizer.
• Make snack bags with several snacks, a note and a drink
• Write out handwritten notes to add to our care packages and snack bags.
• Learn about the nonprofits that support the unhoused and how you can support them
• Each family can take a care package to distribute to an unhoused neighbor you may see

Other Ways You Can Support this Event (optional):

• Bring some shelf-stable snacks/water bottles to add to the snack bags. 
• Sponsor a care package for $15!  For each package you sponsor, you will receive a raffle ticket which will be entered into a drawing for prizes (must be present to win).
  • Zelle your cash donation to us (donation@charities2love.org) or purchase raffle tickets by credit card 
  • Your donation is tax deductible!  Please send an email to us if you would like a receipt.
• Sponsor one of the items for all of the care packages (blankets/hats/gloves, etc.)– please contact us.

**Please wear your Charities2Love Shirt if you have one!  Additional shirts are available for a $10 donation**
