Aesop’s famous quote, “No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted”, from more than 2600 years ago shows that the concept of helping others and thinking outside of ourselves is not a recent idea.  It’s an instinct rooted deep within all of us. It’s the feeling we all have that drives us to extend ourselves in whatever way we can to help however we can. It is the beauty of being human.

Endless Ways to Volunteer

In our own communities, the ways to volunteer and give our time and talents are endless. Whether it is volunteering at a local homeless or domestic abuse shelter or advocating for foster children, there are infinite ways of “giving more than what we take”* in our own neighborhoods.

It can be as simple as organizing a collection drive on your front porch for the food bank, dropping off meals to a homebound senior in your neighborhood, or donating your items responsibly. Each of these acts is important, and all of them do make a difference.

Our Story

At Charities2Love, we believe people want to give back to the community, but they need more information about who needs help, what help is needed, and how they can help. Sometimes it’s discovering that there is a charity out there fulfilling a need that speaks to you!

We realize that finding out about different ways to volunteer is not always easy, and yet we all know there are many charities out there looking for volunteers or donations of items that are ready to be passed on.

We thought, “how can we make it easier for people to find out about all of the ways, big and small, that they can make a difference in the world?”

Our Mission

Charities2Love is a volunteer-driven initiative to raise awareness of charities and provide inspiration to encourage giving back to the community.

By providing snapshots of charities with direct links to the information you want, we provide information about charities and make them easily accessible. By sharing inspiring stories on our blog, we seek to motivate volunteers like you.

We have observed over the years (with friends and family) that sharing stories and information about nonprofits can launch volunteers into action.  Sharing is caring, especially when you use it for good and it encourages those around you to do the same.
